[Magdalen] Powering Down.

 I write this secondary to power provided by my 
electric generator.  Power failure is quite common
here in the Pennsylvania Poconos, and a year 
ago I broke down and installed the generator
which automatically senses power failure and
restoration of power.  The power production is
the same as that provided by Pennsylvania
Power and Light.  I notice no difference.  Other
than short outages (outrages?), though, there
have been no long breaks (wouldn't you know?)
so this is the first real test as by best estimates
of the power company, the electricity will be
out 9 - 10 hours. - not enough to cause trouble
in the deep freeze, but getting worrisome.  
 
The generator burns propane, and I'm sure that
bill will add up.  Nonetheless, we'll rub it in
tonight when our lights are on and the 
neighborhood is black.
