I also remember that on Tuesday, August 15, 1972, I arrived in Cyprus for
the first time with Yiannis Papaioannou and my parents, Tom and Betty
Bailey. On Friday, August 18, 1972, I was chrismated in the Church of
Cyprus and on Sunday, August 20, 1972, Yiannis and I were married at the
Cathedral of St Theodore in Paphos with his father, Oikonomos Anastasios,
officiating.

Interesting fact: Yiannis had told me that it never rained in Cyprus in
the summer. When we arrived at the airport in Nicosia, it was raining.
