Oh, and speaking of ethnicity:
one my my friends (of Irish-American heritage) left the church early on
over the Boston Globe report on sexual abuse by the clergy.
Of course I invited her to church with me.
A mutual friend confronted her.
"How can you go to an Anglican church
when you know how cruelly the English treated our people?"
