I was there - - in Cambridge - - on a business trip when the snows started
to fall.

Our meetings were near Harvard Square and our hotel on Memorial Drive along
the river. We had to walk since there were no cabs. The students were
playing football; the snow was already so deep that it was all rather
comical.

I was annoyed with my colleague who had insisted that we stay at moderate
hotel so as to keep within his per diem allowance. We were, as a result,
stuck in a hotel without a restaurant and, worse, no bar.

I don't recall how many days Logan was closed but after two or three we
were able to get seats on a very crowded train back to Washington.

A fun memory, actually.
