Having finished a task at the church this afternoon,  I gave my car a 
better warm-up by driving to the hospital to see Garry.  He is much 
diminished from when I saw him last Sunday afternoon, small and 
motionless in the bed but able to chat well of this and that. I told him 
I had seen Chad's photo of them in Gaspe in 2004 and he remembered the 
occasion and the people well.  He is due to be transported to the cancer 
centre in Oshawa a couple of times for radiation in the first half of 
this week  and then an assessment as to whether it's doing any good.  
When I next see him I will certainly give him your love.  He enjoys 
talking about people we know in common, which is quite a few of you!
