It is indeed a tremendous honour to have my name appear at the head of such
an important report (traditionally the first in the Blue Book when the
thing was printed in hard copy), but the credit belongs to my entire
committee which represented all nine provinces of our church and included
African American, Asian American, and Native American members and two who
are gay. We were a model of the diversity we seek to encourage in the
leadership of our church and hope that our slate of nominees also reflects
it.
