It's also my oldest son Sam's birthday. He's 46. Egad! When told of his
birth, my Aunt Mary, who had lived in in Paris for some years after WWII,
grinned and said, "Well, he broke out, didn't he?" She was my mother's
older sister and my favorite aunt, though I didn't get to see her very
often.
