[Magdalen] Computer woes & resolution

My new laptop (win 10) did an update the other night. In the process, the
name on my gmail account (also used to sign into computer) had a character
left out and a password problem.

Dell wasn't very helpful, said it was a software issue, go to Microsoft.
They wanted me to re-install windows 10. Had to get a newer larger flash
drive.

Spent 5 hours today downloading the update. Computer wouldn't let me
process it as one of the drives had a lock - go back to Dell, they said.

Packed it up and took it to a local shop; 30 minutes later, had a password
change without all the falderol.

Local is sometimes good.
