[Magdalen] East coast storms

I was thinking our turn's coming. Heh heh. We got a storm warning for
Wednesday, and we refilled the bathtub, and were glad we still had the
water from the first storm... So we got probably a foot of snow, and after
a while our power went out -- and came back. Phew! This was late at night,
so we would go to bed and hope it was all better by morning.
Then it went out again, a few times. And the last time, it stayed out.
About 2 AM or so.
Next morning, no power. We had gone to eat somewhere else (it was either
that or cold PBJ sandwiches) and we came back, hoping the power had come
back. Nope. It was starting to get dark and the house was 58 degrees (F)
Well, we were really getting bummed because our cats didn't hurt anyone,
and their house was getting cold, and then, the lights came back on.
So the universe is once again a safe place.
There were some folks around here who were getting their power back from
the first storm around Wednesday. I suspect some of them are off again. I
don't know how they cope!!!!
