[Magdalen] East coast storms

It's been a strange winter here in Chicago in that we keep hearing about
big snow in the East and see none of it here. Unusual. Today we're getting
a quick, small snowstorm in time for the afternoon rush hour. Glad I don't
drive in that daily cluster anymore! (I remember getting to know all the
alternatives to the Eisenhower Expressway for when it jammed solid heading
downtown...some of the alternatives took forever but preserved sanity by
allowing for diversions and other alternatives rather than just sitting).
