And my congratulations, Ann.  I understand that nicotine is the
hardest drug to shake.
 
I always rejoice when a carcinogen is removed from target organs, 
whether it be the lungs/ cigarettes, or the skin/excess sun
exposure.  
 
Not to be a fly in the ointment but:
 
The insult to the target organs is, however, always
"remembered" by the target organs.

Congrats, Ann. I've been a non-smoker for many years now. It's probably
more than 30 since I smoked regularly, though I dabbled quite a bit before
I finally just didn't smoke at all. It's been a long time since I even
missed it. Maybe not drinking will feel the same someday.
