[Magdalen] Leeks.

I’ve thrown the washed tough green parts (unchopped)
into a soup or stew,
fished them out later along with the bay leaves.
Adds great flavor.

The gf always prefers finely-diced leeks
 (they can cook up stringy and she doesn’t care for that).
