> Dear friends,
> I am deeply saddened to share the news that our dear friend and parishioner, Eleanor Braun, died on Friday evening after valiantly living with ovarian cancer for 4.5 years.  At the end of her life, she was lovingly cared for by her sister Pam, Deacon Elizabeth, and beloved friends Frankie and Sue who were all at her side at the time of death.

> Eleanor moved to the Cape five years ago and immediately became an integral part of St. Mary's.  Her leadership skills helped to birth the Amazing Grace summer camp for children whose parents are incarcerated, and she has been a tireless advocate for justice in the years since. Her participation in the Thursday Morning Group, Centering Prayer Group, and Pink Panthers Open Circle cultivated deep and enduring friendships at St. Mary's. Her death is a tremendous loss for us all.

> We will celebrate Eleanor's life on Wednesday December 5 at 11 am at First Lutheran Church in West Barnstable. A collation will follow.  To honor Eleanor's commitment to high quality education for all, a scholarship fund has been established in her name to help graduates of Amazing Grace camp pursue post-secondary education opportunities.
