Hard to find okra in Buffalo (though I admit I haven’t looked for it), but
grilled might be something I'd like to try. One year Ginga (or maybe the
late, beloved Capers) gave me a jar of pickled okra for listgiv, or when I
visited, and I really liked it, and ate every bit. That reminds me: I will
look around for some Benne wafers — I'm sure I’ve seen them around in one
of our gourmet stores.
