Time for this to come around again, I think.

On one IPad,  Daffodils, by Alex Martin, a WWI story about a lady's maid
who goes off to volunteer at the front. On the other iPad, Leroy Watches
Jr. and the Badass Bull, which is billed as contemporary romance but is
also magical realism and is by turns sweet, funny, and somewhat
headshaking. In hard copy, I'm working my way through a series of books by
Torey Hayden about her career as a special ed teacher and am currently in
the middle of Murphy's Boy. Still to go, Somebody Else's Kids and Beautiful
Child. Waiting in the wings, Devotional reading, Prayers By the Lake, by
St. Nikplai Velimirovich, which is absolutely breathtaking.
