My office is in an immigrant neighborhood in Redwood City California, 
near an elementary school. A majority of the population in this 
neighborhood is from Central America.

There is construction at the school. During the construction, the school 
district installed a temporary lighted sign on wheels warning drivers to 
watch out for pedestrians. It says "WATCH OUT FOR PEDS".

This morning someone has moved it around the corner to Middlefield Road 
(a major artery) and applied a small amount of black tape. The sign now 
glows brightly "WATCH OUT FOR FEDS".
