Well, here in Northern Vermont we almost had out first frost last night
- 35F. Right now it's 69, which is probably about the high for the day.
It's bright and sunny and a gorgeous day. (So why am I sitting inside
when I could be out picking wild blackberries?). It does indeed get
above 90 occasionally here, but usually only in July. Leaves are just
staring to turn in anticipation of all the leaf-peepers who will be
arriving in a couple of weeks or so. We had (along with everyone else up
here) tons of berries - straw, blue, and black (but very few rasp), and
the apple trees are as loaded as they've ever been. Other than tomatoes,
which had lots of disease due to a wet spring, the garden has done
magnificently.

Life is good in Vermont.
