[Magdalen] Prayer request

>From my pew, this entire debacle comes down to rich white people still
fighting the war for states' rights. SC is very conservative, which means
our legislature is also very conservative. The legislature in SC appoints
judges and the appointment to the bench of Judge Dickson is up for renewal
soon. Rumor has it that he wants to continue as a SC Circuit Court
judge....so, we may well be able to draw a line here as to cause of his
obfuscations in carrying out his duty in the case of the Episcopal schism
in SC.

I believe whatever the issues are with this litigation, SC is still
fighting the Civil War on fronts like this. The Episcopal Church is a
national institution and a lot more progressive than a great majority of
South Carolinians. So, it's states' rights v a national church, plus
conservative v progressive. Sounds a bit like DC today, no?

O Lord, our times are in your hands. Save us and help us, we humbly pray.
