Yes, I pronounce "want" and "font" with approximately the same vowel sound.

I'd pronounce "Auntie" like (sorry...) "panty." Here in the USA it's mostly
used with children to refer to their aunts or perhaps their great aunts,
but often only certain ones, possibly based on how easy it is to say. For
example:

We had (and still have) an "Auntie Cindy," but another aunt was always
"Aunt Eileen." (pronounced "Ant")  Some others were never "Auntie N." but
were sometimes called simply "Auntie." As in "Let's go by Auntie's and give
her her birthday present."
