[Magdalen] Where are we

RE Dan Britain’s recent post—There was a time, recent enough that I actually remember it, when honoring veterans’ service was considered by Republicans and Democrats alike as a patriotic duty, and providing medical services a merely partial repayment of a debt owed for a lifetime.

I am sorry that some (surely not all or even most) Republicans today apparently believe that anyone who receives entitlement benefits is a leech demanding something for nothing. I hope and pray that your needs will be taken care of promptly, competently, completely, and with due respect. (NB This is a rare instance when the phrase “with due respect” is not followed by something disrespectful.)
