A concert at one of the large Upper Midwestern Lutheran churches was
held hostage by a bat.  The creature kept swooping high and low in  the
nave, coming a few feet from the terrified audience until an alert  usher
guessed the bat was heading in his direction and opened a door  directly
to the outside.  The obliging bat flew out, and was matched with  almost
military precision by the entry from the opposite side of the nave by  the
famed Saint Olaf Choir.
