industry, whose business is instant gratification. Somehow they think no
one understands a good old-fashioned pitchers' duel. Yet in Europe people
go to, and love and talk about and argue for days over, REAL football games
whose score is 1-0. But the aforementioned advertising industry has
apparently conditioned Americans to demand high-scoring games. Personally,
I abominate American football games with scores such as 42-36, which
indicate to me that precious little defense is being played. I would much
rather watch REAL football (or futbol, if you will), or baseball, with
scores of 1-0 or 2-1 or 3-2 or the like.
