Feeling your pain, as I've had to replace my debit card, again --
three times in the last two-and-a-half years due to no fault on my
part, but these noteworthy (Target, Home Depot, etc.) security breaches.
I do electronic bill paying the opposite way: register the bank
account or debit card with the provider and have them initiate the
withdrawal rather than my credit union. At least as I update my
information, I have the new card number right in front of me, and
being signed in to the vendor's site, they have the other info and I
don't have to look for it.
