I think some of us may not believe that the worship service is a private club of
the cognoscenti. We always open theca to the right pages, hold the lessons if
they're printed, and open the hymnal.

It matters not how familiar one is with the contents -- the goal is to always
look around for newcomers who seem lost -- and hand them whatever it is and
point out exactly where we are.

In addition, if I don’t have it open and at least glancing at it, my mind tends 
tends to drift  into the 1928 version <g>.

And, is it time in this discussion that reading helps prevent things like 
"Christ Our Sackover is Pacified for Us" ????
