My motto for the riper years is simplify, simplify, simplify.
 
Much of that comes with retirement:  For example, I no longer
have to attend (though I have been invited) to my departmental
New Year's party.  I used to shudder avoiding the drunks on 
the road after midnight, returning home up the mountain.
