I know in my case and some other recovering alcoholics, I prefer not
to play around with alcohol-free drinks that make it look like I'm  drinking
an alcohol drink.  So I avoid such as tonic water, even though I  think
it is quite a nice soft drink.
 
Instead I usually opt for coffee or tea that cannot be mistaken for a  cock-
tail.
 
But to each his/her own.
