Very true all around!

The different crosses are symbols, and a symbol means what the individual
decides it means.  Even the sign we know as a swastika is also a symbol of
other things in other cultures.

The empty cross symbolizes very different things to different people, as we
have found here.

Would that we could demonstrate facts as such; unfortunately, my perceived
fact is just rubbish to someone else.
