Newport. Been there. Had a friend serving the Episcopal church there.

Home to loads of hyper-patriotic American retirees, very conservative.
Can't imagine why they'd want to be there. The view across dark
Lake Memphremagog is daunting even on a hot summer day. Since
Newport is situated at the south end of the lake, the sun never glimmers
on the water. The Canadian side is so much prettier.
