John,
She referred to Hansen as her "constant companion" in her bio for the search process. That alone would have knocked her off the list here in VA.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Hansen wrote the check for $35K, and the rest is being secured by a financial institution of some sort.

I think the money was put up from several different people, some of whose
were simply responding to what was seen as an exsessive bond. As to her
"companion," I think that Hanson is her friend, but such a close
relationship makes me wonder about the process even more. A close
friendship like that would be worth a few (more) qualms from electors, if
known.

uninterestingness as an intellectual position." - John Updike

"There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that
often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading
to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with
the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs." ~John Rogers
