Chances are their pita are not all whole wheat. Most whole wheat bread is part 
unbleached white. Mine is, and the white has some bromides usually.

Reminds me of Mary's great line in The Women when she finds out her husband is 
having an affair: "Get me a bromide, and put some gin in it."
