In the C/E if we go by the book on Common Worship "It is right to give 
thanks and praise", missing the pronoun out entirely.  Although the 
priest's words makes the object of our thanks and praise this is not 
made ecplicit in the response.  After all it is a good thing to give 
thanks and praise generally in our daily lives.
