Anglican Chant has much in common with the hymns we sing, so congregational 
participation is fairly easy. Plainchant and its variations are a barrier, I 
think.

But there will always be couch-potato parishes where the expectation is a 
morning entertainment by the choir (and clergy), occasionally interrupted by 
talking.
