I don't want to give the impression that I'm a sports fanatic.
 
However, since my family has three generations who are Wisconsin
alumni, "following" the various teams is to underrate the emotional
impact of events such as this on Wisconsin grads. 
 
My son, Kirk, a Wisconsin Law School graduate, is interested in all
Wisconsin sport activities, but he is positively passionate when it 
comes to Wisconsin Hockey.  His law firm in Madison has good 
season tickets, and he's there for all the games.
 
My father, a 1911 Wisconsin Law School graduate was present at
the presentation to the student body of the incomparable "On  Wisconsin"
 
My brothers, Paul, James, and myself are all Wisconsin Medical School
graduates.
 
I fly the Wisconsin "W" flag, and also, on occasion, the Minnesota "M"  
since
I have degrees from both schools.  But don't tell my son I have a  Minnesota
flag!
