I am glad Google is re-remembering these folks.  Elizabeth Cochran set a
standard for journalism that folks like Wolf Blitzer and Heraldo Rivera
continue.

She went to the places where the really really poor were, joined them, and
then wrote about them.  She made a difference.

She was born in my neck of the woods.

I wonder if she's any relation to Jean of aviation fame. I don't even know
if they spelled their names the same...
