I'll bet the guy at St. Meinrad would say one doesn’t need a monastery to follow 
Benedictine Rule.

It should also be noted that both the RCs and Episcopalians have closed/old of 
monasteries and convents because they cannot be economically viable nowadays.  A 
Benedictine group under catholic authority and obedience wouldn’t be trying to 
reinvent the wheel, suspect/ Under whose authority does your Benedictine 
Community operate? .

Maybe you could have a duplicate cell built for him the the apartment? <g>.
