Perimeter of the store: I really oughta try that someday. Actually, I more or less do, the way my Raley's is set up. Entering via the "main door" you're staring at the center of the store, but that center is produce, and since we're Salinas, it's nothing to sneeze at. Walking around to the left end of the store is the deli/bakery section, but that also includes quality pre-made-but-unfrozen meals, a fresh soup kiosk, and not a little bit of gourmet cheeses. To the right end is the meat/seafood section which also includes fresh made salsas and still more quality cheese. Along the back is the hybrid section with dairy, eggs, and a lot of pre-packaged un- and actually frozen. So, with exceptions, I could eat very well never entering the truly interior aisles. (But when one needs chips or chocolate, sacrifices must be made.)
