[Magdalen] "Failing" parishes--Canada vs. USA

A similar event occurred in Scranton, PA when the parish buildings
of Saint John Baptist RCC (German ethnic) were closed and then
picked apart for anything salable.  
 
First, the Stations, the altar and crucifix, the pipe organ, and pews
were stripped away.  Then the Munich glass windows were removed,
and the church stood forlorn with plywood over the window sites.
 
Finally the rectory, the elementary school, and the church building
with its 200' steeple were raised.  A bank now stands on the  site.
