Reminds me of that the typical "onion domes" of the RC Diocese
of Innsbruck and the RC Archdiocese of Salzburg are green in
Innsbruck and red in Salzburg. 
 
One of the main north-south highways makes the border between
the two, and depending on which side of the highway the village
church is located, the onions are either green or red.
 
One ordinarily thinks of onion domes as being an Orthodox  characteristic,
but they are common, at least in the southern half of Germany and 
somewhat in adjoining Switzerland.
 
They even put an onion of sorts on the Milwaukee City Hall Tower, long  the
tallest structure in Wisconsin:
