Before any of our current Medicare recipients panic, the increase does not apply
to current members -- a specific provision of the ACA. But for those going on in
2016, the deduction will be considerably higher, and then drop back in 2017 --
thanks to a Republican-inserted provision to "save" Medicare.
If you are new to Medicare in 2016 -- you will pay more; if you are high income
in retirement, you will pay considerably more ($214,0000 in retirement income
means you could be paying $500 a month -- anyone here in that category?).
