In the minor leagues, there's a countdown clock these days that force the game 
to go faster . . .

It's experimental and might make it to the majors --like the shot clocks in the 
NBA.

I dislike the idea there's a psychological component in "wasting time" in 
baseball that I think has often been integral to the game.
