I also read an article the other day about why Coke, even the modern kind,
tastes better in glass bottles (you always knew it did!). Seems the plastic
does something bad to the taste of the sweetening. I think the Mexican kind
only comes in glass. My daughter won't drink any other kind. I don't drink
the sugared stuff any more, generally, but on the rare occasions I do, I
enjoy Jones sodas, which are sweetened with cane sugar, come in glass
bottles, and are horrendously expensive. Or IBC root beer. Otherwise I
rarely drink carbonated anything at all, unless it's plain seltzer or tonic
water with a lime wedge in hot weather.
