[Magdalen] Closing mail account?

During the depression and during WW2, though it was only a nickel, five cents, I had to steal it from a shop or the delivery truck if I wanted some. I sure loved the stuff, as did others, but I don't  remember people being overweight (at least in Canada) back in those days.
