Thirty years ago this month, my first week here in Pennsylvania,
there were 24 inches of snow on the 24th of April.  Two relatives  who
were here to help me unpack were due to go home that day, and
the departure was from Newark, NJ.  Luckily, I had hired a limo  service
in advance for this trip (@ $100 - a real bargain) to take them from
Mountain Top, PA to the terminal.  They somehow got through and  left
on the scheduled flight.  There were stories for years about the boy 
from MN/WI who moved to this terrible climate where they have 
blizzards in April.
 
Of course, it was all melted in a couple days.
