Reminds me of a memorable sermon at the Tridentine Latin Rite church,
a location not noted for great sermons.

On a Maundy Thursday, with its multiplicity of sermon topics straight
out of the scripture for the day (Institution of the Eucharist; the giving
of the Peace, etc.) we got, instead, an angry diatribe from the
assistant priest during which he repeatedly used the phrase, "...and
you people just don't give a damn."

Apparently the parish council had turned down his request for some
improvements to the parsonage, and he took this as a personal insult.

It was "deja vu all over again," for me because I endured a sermon with
similar tone at Christ Church Cathedral, Eau Claire, also by the assistant,
in which the same "...and you people just don't give a damn," was
repeated several times in his sermon. I've forgotten what he didn't like,
frankly.
