My mother was cremated, and all she was wearing at her death
was her simple gold wedding band.  I have it.
 
Mother had a change of heart when my younger brother's funeral
preparations were so expensive.  She told the mortician that  "you
will never get me."  She prepaid her fees to the local cremation
society, and that was it.
 
Everyone in the family subsequently has been cremated.  I have
already prepaid my fees to the Cremation Society of PA.  This
makes for less crowding at the cemetery.
