Yes, but I get out of this that to sound good in the English language
one needs to be speaking RP/BBC English/Ox-bridge/Southeastern
England English. I don't think this is the case. We have built up this
concept that BBC English sounds distinguished and many of us go
soft and giggly when we encounter someone who speaks it, but
this is our own misconception.
North American, Australian, South African, and New Zealand
English stand up to RP just fine and sound good on their
own merits.
