May you all take it easy, do nothing useful, and just pretend you're all 
retired for the next few days.

Meanwhile, up here it was sunny today. And we have less snow on the ground 
now than you do (~8", much less than normal for this time of year).

I'm looking anxiously at the snow depths back in SE Mass. Our house down 
there has steam heat, and the boiler has to be refilled periodically. I have 
a friend who says he'd do it for me, if necessary, as long as he doesn't 
have to shovel a path to the front door. About 6-8" is predicted there, 
which should be doable without shoveling. A few little prayers requested 
that (a) the boiler doesn't run out of water (I'll get a call from the 
freeze alarm if it does), and (b), if it run out before I go back down there 
on Wednesday, there won't be too much snow.
