I don't see how you have caused any of this.  Certainly the  diagnoses
they are considering would not be likely self-created, unless I'm  missing
part of the story.....perhaps cigarettes could play some role in the  
vasculitis,
but I don't know your smoking history past or present.
 
In any case you have to try, as you say, to be strong not only for  yourself
but for your son.
