I'm not sure exactly what you mean here, I guess, but I can tell you  that
retired RC priests are generally kept very busy liturgically, and also  perf
orm
hospital visitations, etc.  In fact a number of such retirees have  said 
words
to the effect that they are busier since retirement than before.
