Jim,
Thanks for the birthday greetings.
I want to say...and I mean this sincerely...there are good people in both
churches - The Episcopal Church in SC and also the Lawrence Church.
Seriously. The schism was clergy led and many good people were led
astray. People of all races and stations on all sides of this are hurting,
including those you may refer to as socialites. The schism was not, never
a clash of classes. ICK.
We have actually lived a resurrection experience. The Episcopal Church in
SC died...we died to what we were. Then, God breathed new life into the
Episcopal Church in SC. We are small, not wealthy, faithful, hard working
servants of Christ Jesus. Alleluia. So are the people who attend the
Lawrence church...they simply are no longer Episcopalians. It remains to
be seen what changes, if any, the property opinion will make for all of us
in SC.
Thank you.
Ginga
